Job description

Hourly Wage Estimate: $37.26 - $55.91 / hour. The estimate displayed represents the typical wage range of candidates hired. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.

Sonographer II role requires RDMS and RVT credentials for hire. Position will be weekends: Friday 0700‑1930 and Sat/Sun 0600‑1830, or Sat/Sun 0600‑1830 and Monday (10 or 12 hour shift). $6.25/hr differential on top of base rate for all hours worked between 0700 Friday and 0700 Monday.

Job Summary

Individual performs diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures, operates ultrasound equipment, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel supporting the mission, vision, and values of the company. Provides care to assigned patients and ensures a safe patient care environment. Maintains technical skills and is responsible for using equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety. Secondary duties include clerical duties, receptionist tasks, answering phones, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files, and general cleaning. Assists in collecting data for PI monitors and conducting QC on equipment.

Qualifications

• Current ARDMS certification with both Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required.
• Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.
• Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinical experience.
• Familiar with the majority of ultrasound and/or NIVA procedures. High degree of manual, critical thinking skills, and dexterity necessary for operation of equipment and patient care.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician.
• Vocational School Graduate.
