Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams across OB/GYN, abdominal, breast and other studies, in a night-shift schedule with a 40-hour workweek.

You will support radiologists, provide guidance to students and staff, and participate in MercyOne Health System’s mission and values while maintaining ARDMS certification and BLS requirements. Relocation and sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with ARDMS with one of the following: RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RMSKS.
• If not registered, be board-eligible and register with ARDMS within one year of hire.
• Maintain ARDMS registry status (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire and every two years.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, and other related studies as scheduled or emergent.
• Provide technical assistance to radiologists in interpreting studies.
• Provide instruction to students and hospital staff.

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff
• Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, Values, Actions, and Promise in behaviors, practices, and decisions

Schedule:

• Night shift
• 40 hours per week
• Mon- Thurs: 6:30p - 5:00a for 5 weeks
• Tues - Fri: 6:30p - 5:00a for 6th week
• Every 6th weekend
• Emergent call coverage if needed and for holidays

General Requirements:

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)

If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.

• ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter
