Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams across OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, and other areas, assisting radiologists and supporting education for students and staff. This night shift role offers a full-time schedule with relocation and sign-on bonus opportunities.

Candidates must hold ARDMS credentials (or be eligible) and maintain active registry status, with BLS training required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with ARDMS or board-eligible and register within one year of hire.
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (40 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment).
• BLS required within 30 days of hire and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related procedures on scheduled or emergent basis.
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies.
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff.

As a Sonographer At MercyOne, You Will

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff
• Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, Values, Actions, and Promise in behaviors, practices, and decisions

Schedule

• Night shift
• 40 hours per week
• Mon- Thurs: 6:30p - 5:00a for 5 weeks
• Tues - Fri: 6:30p - 5:00a for 6th week
• Every 6th weekend
• Emergent call coverage if needed and for holidays

General Requirements

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)

If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.

• ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter
