Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, IA is seeking a Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams across OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, and other areas, supporting radiologists and trainees.

The role requires ARDMS credentials or board-eligibility within one year, BLS, and active registry maintenance. MercyOne offers a comprehensive benefits package and a sign-on bonus up to $20,000.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS registered with one of RDMS, RDCS, RVT, or RMSKS.
• If not registered, must become ARDMS registered within one year of hire.
• Maintain ARDMS registry status with CME credits.
• BLS certification required within 30 days and every two years.
• ARDMS preferred but ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures.
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies.
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff.

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records

• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies

• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff

Schedule

• 40 hours a week

• Days

• Monday - Friday

General Requirements

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)

If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.

• ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted

• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)

• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter
