Job summary

MercyOne Genesis is seeking a part-time Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams such as OB/GYN, abdominal, and breast, and to support the radiologist with interpretations. The role includes providing instruction to students and hospital staff while upholding MercyOne’s Mission and Values.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification is required or board-eligible and plan to register within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire and renewed every two years.

• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies.

As a Sonographer At MercyOne Genesis, You Will

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff
• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, Values, Actions, and Promise in behaviors, practices, and decisions

Schedule

• PRN - Per Diem

General Requirements

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)

If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.

• ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME's every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter
