Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a Part-time Sonographer to join our radiology team in a day shift, 20 hours per week, with holiday rotation. You will perform ultrasound exams across OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, and small parts while assisting the radiologist in interpretation and training staff and students.

Requirements include ARDMS registration or board-eligibility within one year of hire, active ARDMS registry with CME credits, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS registered or board-eligible within one year of hire.
• Active ARDMS registry status with CME credits (30 CME's every 3 years; annual payment).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related procedures on scheduled or emergent basis.
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies; provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff.

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies; provides technical instruction to students and hospital staff

Schedule:

• 20 hours a week
• Daytime hours
• Holiday rotation

General Requirements:

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)

If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.

• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME's every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter.
