Job summary

Urban Grub in Nashville seeks a Sommelier/Floor Manager to lead the wine program and supervise front-of-house service. You will own a 250+ SKU wine list and guide the service team with confidence.

This hybrid role blends wine strategy with floor leadership, requiring strong knowledge of Old/New World wines and staff development. Approximately 50 hours/week, with nights/weekends required.

Qualifications

• CMS Certified Sommelier (Level 2) or WSET Level 2 in Wines required.
• Fine dining experience is required.
• Management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Old and New World wines, with a passion for continuing education.
• Proficiency with wine and service software: Aloha POS, BevSpot, and BevSpot.

Responsibilities

• Curate and maintain a 250+ SKU wine list with menu pairings.
• Lead wine purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Train front-of-house staff on wine knowledge and service standards.
• Lead floor management during service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with kitchen on seasonal pairings and events.
