Urban Grub in Nashville is seeking a Lead Host who can do more than greet guests. This role requires commanding the floor, coordinating the dining room flow, and leading the hosting team with confidence in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• OpenTable expert with ability to optimize a floor plan for efficiency.
• Experience leading a front-of-house team in a high-volume setting.
• Calm, upbeat under pressure and able to manage a busy lobby and phone lines.

Responsibilities

• Own OpenTable platform to maximize covers and balance kitchen/service flow.
• Lead the host team; uphold greeting, seating, and phone etiquette standards.
• Manage VIP arrivals, special requests, and waitlist with professionalism.
• Strategically seat guests to keep servers from being overwhelmed and guests prioritized.
• Act as liaison between kitchen, management, and service floor.
