The Modern in New York, NY, seeks an experienced Sommelier to elevate our wine program and guest experience. You will collaborate with the Beverage Director and service staff to curate selections, guide guests, and educate the team, ensuring a memorable wine journey in a Michelin-starred setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Sommelier or wine service role.
• Strong knowledge in wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Responsabilités

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
• Partner with Beverage Director to create and maintain a wine program.
• Provide guests with guidance and suggestions of wine and beverage selections.
• Educate the service team on wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic items.
• Deliver a financially responsible wine program that supports revenue and inventory goals.
• Demonstrate flexibility and eagerness to learn and grow.
