Job summary

Union Square Hospitality Group is seeking a Sommelier for Union Square Cafe to elevate the wine program and guest experience. You’ll collaborate with the Beverage Director and service team to curate recommendations, educate staff, and drive revenue through a thoughtful wine, beer, and spirit selection.

The role emphasizes Enlightened Hospitality, ongoing learning, and teamwork within a renowned NYC dining group known for its legacy and innovation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Sommelier or wine service role.
• Strong knowledge in wine, spirits, beer, and N/A beverages.
• English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with a memorable wine experience and ensure the excellence of the beverage program.
• Partner with Beverage Director to create and maintain an enticing wine program.
• Educate service team on wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Deliver a financially responsible wine program that supports restaurant revenue and inventory goals.
