Montage International, including Montage Big Sky, is seeking a skilled Sommelier to lead wine service and guest experiences. You will guide guests, mentor bartenders and servers, and educate the team on wines, regions, and pairings.

The role emphasizes training, cellar management, and collaboration with management to control beverage costs. A Guild of Sommeliers certificate is preferred, and luxury-hotel experience is a plus.

Competenze

• One year minimum experience in food and beverage operations.
• Ability to educate staff on wine service standards and tastings.
• Strong communication and guest-relations skills.

Mansioni

• Assist in selling beverages across outlets and banquets and mentor staff.
• Guide guests through wine lists with detailed recommendations.
• Engage guests with stories about wines and regions.
• Educate team on wine regions, varietals, and pairings.
• Conduct training on service standards, decanting, and pouring.
• Mentor colleagues to develop wine knowledge and skills.
• Maintain optimal wine cellar conditions and inventory.
• Monitor aging and cellar rotation to minimize waste.
• Collaborate with management on beverage costs and pricing.
• Maintain and update wine/cocktail lists with staff.
