Job summary

Southern States LLC is seeking a Sales and Application Engineer to act as a liaison between a network of customers and manufacturers representatives. This position supports a team that generates significant annual revenue and will learn to sell and support products for all Southern States Divisions.

You will develop relationships with agents and customers, prepare bids with costing and specifications, and learn pricing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least one year of experience selling products in the Southern States product line.
• Work experience in related fields may be acceptable in lieu of minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops business/personal relationships with agents, team members, and customers.
• Completes bids including costing, documentation, technical data and understanding pricing strategies and pricing for bids.
• Obtain competitive pricing and other information regarding Southern States’ competitors.
• Ensure quoted products meet customer specifications by reviewing specs and determining the best fit.
• Review pricing, terms & conditions, backcharges, adders, factory support services, and specifications relevant to the sales process.
• Learn and understand technical aspects of the products to advise agents and customers as needed.
• Assist in expediting orders as required.
• Develop project management and order processing skills across the internal lifecycle from origination to delivery and warranty follow-ups.
