Job summary

IBM is seeking a seasoned Solutions Engineer to drive early-stage evaluation and ongoing value realization for customers, partnering with Account Executives and engineering teams. You will surface business needs, design technical solutions, and enable adoption of Confluent technology within complex environments.

You’ll lead technical proofs of concept, guide architecture discussions, and share best practices to elevate operational maturity and customer success across industries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering or similar role.
• Experience with Event-Driven architecture, Data Integration & Processing Techniques, and Data Warehouse technologies.
• Exposure to Cloud Architecture, Migrations, Deployment & Application Development.
• Experience with Automation, GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in Java, Python or SQL.
• Technical certifications in Cloud/Data domains.
• Demonstrated self-starter personality and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Advance new and innovative Data Streaming use-cases from conception to Go-Live.
• Lead Technical Proofs of Concept and evaluate solutions.
• Conduct Discovery and Whiteboard sessions to develop use-cases.
• Deliver technical talks and workshops to share knowledge.
• Guide customers with hands-on help to mature deployment practices.
• Analyze Customer consumption and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering, advocating for customers across ecosystems.
• Build relationships with customer stakeholders and act as a trusted partner.
