Job summary

Snyk is seeking a curious, customer-focused Solutions Engineer to support the technical side of the sales cycle, helping prospects understand how Snyk finds, fixes, and prevents security issues in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure. You will build hands-on product expertise, run demos and proofs of concept for well-defined accounts, and grow into owning more complex deals.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in sales engineering, software development, or a related technical customer facing role.
Familiarity with a range of coding languages and how they fit together.
Working understanding of developer and DevOps ecosystems and practices.
Genuine curiosity about new technologies and a habit of digging into how things work.
Ability to set milestones, communicate progress, and ask for help when needed.
Experience with technical customers at mid-market or enterprise level is a plus.
Team oriented mindset and willingness to learn from senior teammates.
Nice to have: developer background or hands-on coding experience.
Nice to have: startup experience in early stage or fast growing environment.
Nice to have: experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude, Copilot, or Gemini.

Responsibilities

Learn Snyk's platform in depth to run clear, credible technical demonstrations for prospects and customers.
Support the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including demos, POCs, and product questions with guidance.
Educate customers and partners on open source and cloud native security and why fixing issues early matters.
Interface with engineering, product, and customer success to relay feedback and help build solutions for defined accounts.
Share learnings with the Solutions Engineering team to improve positioning of Snyk.
Collaborate with channel partners on demos and POCs to understand their sales approach.
Document POC outcomes and common objections to reuse learnings.
