Job summary

Snyk is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer focused on AMER Enterprise opportunities. You will partner with Account Directors to shape the sales approach and own the technical storyline from discovery through validation, translating Snyk capabilities into measurable business outcomes.

You will develop ROI analyses and present value to CISOs, CTOs, and senior engineers, helping expand value streams and align product roadmaps with enterprise security needs.

Qualifications

• Experience selling into IT security in large organizations.
• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering or similar technical function.
• Familiarity with MEDDPICC is a plus.
• Background in software development and application security.
• Strong communication skills for executive stakeholders.
• Technical understanding of SDLC, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps.
• Experience with Financial Services and Insurance industries.
• Interest or background in value engineering and ROI storytelling.
• Proactive, action-oriented mindset; ability to anticipate blockers.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding and/or open-source contributions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Directors to shape sales approach for complex enterprise opportunities; own the technical storyline from discovery to validation.
• Build value realization frameworks with executive stakeholders; translate Snyk capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
• Develop ROI and TCO analyses to convert technical viability into business cases for senior decision-makers.
• Present and defend the value proposition to CISO, CTO, and Distinguished Engineer-level audiences; align with long-term business goals.
• Identify and pursue additional value streams such as compliance automation and supply chain risk management.
• Bridge customers with internal Engineering and Product teams to influence the broader product ecosystem.

Requirements

• We look for at least 5 years of experience selling into or partnering with IT Security within large organizations.


• We require 5+ years in Solutions Engineering or a similar technical function, including work on opportunities worth $1M+ and a record of connecting technical solutions to complex business needs.


• Familiarity with the MEDDPICC framework is a plus.


• We expect some background in software development and application security.


• We value outstanding communication skills, especially the ability to handle high-pressure security concerns and earn the trust of executive stakeholders.


• We need a strong technical grasp of the software development lifecycle, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps environments.


• Experience with Financial Services and Insurance organizations is important.


• A background in value engineering, or a strong interest in it, with the ability to turn technical information into clear ROI stories is desirable.


• We seek a proactive, action-oriented mindset with the ability to foresee blockers and design practical solutions in complex customer settings.


• You must be based in the Northeast United States, or in Ontario or Quebec, Canada.


• Hands-on experience with LLMs, or active exploration of how AI-assisted coding affects security, would be a strong advantage.


• Contribution to open-source projects or active participation in the developer/security community is also a plus.
