Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our Sales Engineering team in the Hartford area. You will leverage deep AI knowledge and technical consulting to support sales goals and customer outcomes.

You will influence architecture, data governance, security, and deployment strategies with enterprise clients, mentoring teammates and shaping enablement content while collaborating with product and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with full lifecycle of AI models from development to production
• Experience with AI ecosystems and development tools such as Cursor, CoPilot and Claude.
• AI or Data Science use-case development; understanding of data engineering vs applied science
• 4+ years in a Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales role; ability to listen, whiteboard, design architectures and demonstrate value

Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of AI concepts and best practices
• Provide discovery and requirements workshop input for customer use cases
• Troubleshoot data science workloads
• Create and deliver customer-centric solution designs
• Present roadmaps, architectures and business outcomes to technical teams
• Define technical selling approaches for accounts
• Collaborate with sales to plan penetration and success strategies
• Understand competitive landscape and technology ecosystem
• Translate customer feedback into product roadmap items
• Mentor team members and contribute to enablement materials
• Contribute to internal and external knowledge bases
