Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect II to accelerate the Department of War business by shaping and delivering cloud strategies for Army workloads.

You will lead architectures spanning data services, AI, serverless, compute and storage, and collaborate with customers, SI partners, and AWS teams to drive successful migrations and modernization. You will travel up to 35% within the US and internationally, support DoD stakeholders, and mentor peers while advancing enterprise

Qualifications

5+ years in design, implementation or consulting on applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver cloud architectures for Army workloads across data services, AI, serverless, compute and storage.
Own the technical engagement and success of implementation projects, including defining architectures and responding to RFPs.
Serve as a trusted security advisor to Army/DoD stakeholders, identifying opportunities and risks.
Lead database modernization and migration engagements using repeatable patterns and reference architectures.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge across the SA community.
