Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Solutions Architect Director to lead the architectural vision and ensure scalable, secure implementations across US engineering. You will mentor leaders, drive client engagements, and align tech strategy with business goals in a hybrid Dublin, Ohio setting.

You will guide design reviews, oversee uptime, and manage budgets while coordinating with offshore teams to deliver high-impact platforms.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive software engineering and/or solution architecture experience.
5+ years in a Director-level or equivalent senior leadership role managing engineering teams.
Expertise in scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
Strong command of Agile/Scrum delivery; experience leading sprint-based teams.
Proven ability to communicate technical strategy to non-technical stakeholders.
Hands-on coding background with design and code reviews.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day management of US engineering team including performance management, hiring, onboarding and development.
Define team structure, role expectations, and progression with the VP.
Own the architectural vision for US technology systems and standards.
Own day-to-day platform uptime and SLA performance; monitor, alerting and incident response.
Coordinate with overseas development resources and define scopes and quality expectations.
Participate in the project intake and evaluation framework; champion Agile/Scrum delivery.
Manage technology budget and vendor relationships.
