Job summary

Archive is assembling a remote team to build a bilingual digital platform for a nonprofit. This contract role owns the technical design and engineering direction, validating assumptions and connecting the front end, CMS, accounts, integrations and AWS to enable future AI capabilities and long-term support by the client.

Required: architecture with headless CMS, API-first integration, identity/authorization, data modelling, and secure data exchange.

Qualifications

• Own the technical design and engineering direction for the project.
• Experience with headless CMS, component-based apps and API-first integration.
• Identity, authorization, data modelling and secure data exchange.
• AWS architecture with focus on scalability, performance and cost.
• Hands-on leadership, code reviews and architecture documentation.
• Fluent English; French is a plus. Location in Canada or USA; EST hours.

Position Overview

This is a remote position. Archive is assembling a team to build a bilingual digital platform for a non profit organization. Each role has one planned assignment, with specialist involvement as needed. Qualified people may cover more than one role. Client's internal team leads product, business project management, UX/design and English/French content. Archive leads technical delivery and handover. All candidates should demonstrate relevant delivery experience, collaborative working and clear documentation. Nonprofit or education experience is an asset. This contract role will own the technical design and engineering direction for project. Validate prior assumptions and connect the front end, CMS, accounts, integrations and AWS platform while enabling future AI capabilities and long-term support by Client.

Requirements

• Architecture experience with headless CMS, component-based applications and API-first integration.
• Identity, authorization, data modelling, systems of record and secure data exchange.
• AWS architecture, scalability, performance, recovery and operating-cost assessment.
• Hands-on technical leadership, code review, architecture documentation and knowledge transfer.
• 5 to 10 year experience, Required within a month, Canada location, Work remotely, Position to remain open till filled Must be fluent in spoken and written English, huge asset if you are also fluent in spoken and written French.
• Prefer contractor located in Canada or the USA. Client is on the East Coast of Canada so must be available during standard EST business hours.
