Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global Inc. seeks a Mid Level Mechanical Designer in Wixom, Michigan to join our client’s engineering team. You will design and refine mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, and support documentation and drawings for manufacturing.

The role emphasizes hands-on updates to existing equipment, collaboration with engineers, and occasional onsite installation/startup support. 3–5 years of design experience and AutoCAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Mechanical Design experience.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with ability to contribute quickly to active projects.
• Experience using AutoCAD for engineering and design documentation.
• Experience creating and interpreting mechanical assembly drawings.
• Hands-on experience with automation design, automated machinery, and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
• Support final engineering documentation process, including assembly/manufacturing drawings revisions.
• Add, modify, troubleshoot, and improve machine sub-systems within existing automated equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet project and manufacturing requirements.
• Provide onsite installation and startup support as needed.

Our client, industrial automation and machine systems organization is seeking a Mid Level Mechanical Designer to join their team. As a Mid Level Mechanical Designer, you will be part of the engineering organization supporting ongoing machine design projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical design experience, strong SolidWorks skills, and the drive to improve existing automated equipment with minimal supervision.

Pay Range: $41

What's the Job?

• Create, modify, and maintain mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
• Support the final engineering documentation process, including the creation and revision of assembly and manufacturing drawings.
• Add, modify, troubleshoot, and improve machine sub-systems within existing automated equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet project and manufacturing requirements.
• Provide occasional onsite installation and startup support as needed.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 3-5 years of Mechanical Design experience.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with the ability to quickly contribute to active projects.
• Experience using AutoCAD for engineering and design documentation.
• Experience creating and interpreting mechanical assembly drawings.
• Hands-on experience with automation design, automated machinery, and manufacturing systems.
