Job summary

Lancesoft is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Wixom, MI to fill a mid-level role with 3–5 years of experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The contractor will focus on final documentation and subsystem updates for an automated machine and may assist with on-site installation.

Required: hands-on automation design experience, assembly drawing skills, and the ability to work without extensive training. W2 hourly compensation around $45, with a 3-month contract through year-end and potential extension

Job title: Mechanical Designer

Location: Wixom, MI, 48393

Duration: 3 months on contract ( possible extension depending on candidates performance or client need)

Pay range: $45 hourly on W2

Additional Details:

We need an additional Mechanical Designer after one of our recent Contractors resigned. We'd like someone mid level (3-5 years experience at minimum). They don't need to have experience designing systems from scratch but they do need to have automation design and systems experience. This person will primarily be doing final documentation process and adding/fixing a sub-system of a machine. Prior experience designing assembly stations for GM would be highly preferred. They may help with some onsite installation support as well. They must be strong with Solidworks. We do not have time to train. They should have AutoCAD experience as well. We need someone to start ASAP and we have work slated through the end of the year. We could keep the person on longer if we continue to stay busy in the mechanical group. If you had a candidate that previously failed an interview with one of our other recent roles they likely won't be considered.
