Job Overview

APTIM seeks a highly motivated Solid Waste Emissions Solutions Sales Director, with solid consulting sales experience and established client relationships, to leverage the strengths of APTIM's Solid Waste Services Group and grow adjacent services such as air compliance & permitting, fugitive emissions reduction, leachate management & treatment, PFAS, renewable natural gas, and wastewater. The group provides engineering, construction, landfill gas control, field O&M services, and projects for the solid waste industry. This role offers an opportunity for a professional aiming to advance their career and make a significant environmental impact by supporting APTIM's growth strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships within the solid waste market, including with landfill contacts, engineering firms, and energy project developers.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  1. Achieve annual sales goals and manage CRM pipeline (Salesforce).
  2. Leverage existing client relationships to generate new business within a reasonable timeline.
  3. Develop proposals and capture plans for new pursuits and client retention.
  4. Contribute to strategic market and business planning, helping expand APTIM's solid waste services and client base.
  5. Lead marketing and sales efforts for large projects, partnerships, and client engagements.
  6. Build relationships with prospective partners for prime and subcontractor opportunities.
  7. Monitor market trends, innovations, and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Participate in industry events and trade shows to expand market presence and represent APTIM's capabilities.
  9. Use creativity to interpret customer needs and identify solutions.
Basic Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  2. 5+ years of relevant sales experience in the solid waste industry, preferably in consulting and engineering.
  3. Experience selling air compliance, emissions reduction, PFAS, renewable natural gas, and wastewater solutions is highly preferred.
  4. Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships.
  5. Ability to grow business in a dynamic market environment.
  6. Strong industry relationships and business acumen.
  7. Leadership skills to build and mentor teams.
  8. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  9. Self-motivated, organized, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  11. Willingness to travel up to 50% and ability to work remotely.

Benefits
