ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Saas, Recurrent Revenue Models, Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), Success as Player/Coach, Proven track record in achieving Quota and above, established and relevant hospital /clinical network

Mission:

The National Sales Director will serve as both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor, embodying the dual role of "Player/Coach." This individual will manage the national sales team while actively engaging in direct sales activities, specifically targeting provider organizations such as hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and specialty provider practice groups, including imaging centers, spine surgery practices, endocrinology groups, and large concierge medical practices. The role requires approximately 50% travel, including attendance at regional and national trade shows and conferences. Occasional international travel to Switzerland may also be required. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with aspirations to advance to senior leadership positions within the next few years.

Key Reasonability's:

  • Sales Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Direct Sales Activities: Personally manage a select number of high-value accounts within provider organizations, driving sales and building strong customer relationships.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop field and inside sales talent, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for both individual and team performance. Implement corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and client care teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Event Participation: Represent Medimaps at regional and national trade shows and conferences to promote products and services, network with industry professionals, and stay informed about market trends.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Experience: 7+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the SaaS or SaMD industry. Experience in companies with 10-30 employees and under $10M in revenue is preferred. Direct sales experience as a sales hunter with provider organizations is essential. Experience in a start-up environment is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with radiology and imaging software is desirable. Proven experience in selling recurring revenue subscriptions to hospitals, IDNs, and specialty provider practice groups such as imaging centers, spine surgery practices, endocrinology groups, or large concierge medical practices.
  • Track Record: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in acquisition of new logos and aptitude to drive team performance using proven sales methodologies. Candidates with well-established over-quota track record in new logo acquisition, with readiness to transition from a regional individual contributor to a national player/coach role, will be considered.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Competence with communication platforms such as Word, Excel, MS Teams and Salesforce.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including attendance at regional and national trade shows and conferences, as well as occasional international travel to Switzerland.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
