Job summary

LVI Associates in Houston seeks a Civil/Environmental Engineer with solid waste exposure to join our team. You will contribute to civil/site design for landfill facilities, perform grading, drainage, and earthwork calculations, and support permitting and construction oversight.

You'll balance design work with field involvement, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and progressively take on more project leadership and client-facing responsibilities as you grow.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering or environmental consulting experience.
• EIT certification, Texas PE path preferred.
• Experience with solid waste, landfill, or other civil/environmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Civil/site design for landfill and solid waste facilities.
• Grading, drainage, stormwater, and earthwork calculations.
• Landfill design, expansion, closure, and permitting support.
• Preparation of engineering plans, technical documentation, and permit packages.
• Construction oversight and quality assurance.
• Coordination with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal technical teams.
• Managing project scope, schedules, deliverables, and budgets as experience allows.
• Supporting proposals and developing relationships with existing and prospective clients.
