Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Solid Propulsion Design Engineer to drive component- and system-level propulsion design across development and production programs.

You will interpret drawings and specifications, perform calculations, create Creo CAD models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance, manufacturability, and cost while ensuring compliance with standards. U.S. security clearance eligibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of related engineering experience; OR Graduate Degree and 2 years of related experience; OR in lieu of a degree, 10 years of related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform propulsion design tasks for solid propulsion systems across programs.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements for compliance.
• Lead small projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare Creo CAD models and Windchill data for assemblies and BOMs.
• Support design reviews and ensure manufacturability and cost improvements.
