Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist, Project Engineering to lead propulsion program tasks and coordinate design and analysis efforts. You will work under limited direction to implement engineering tasks and oversee studies, experiments, and technical reporting.

The role requires coordinating ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses, managing risk, schedule, and cost, and communicating with Program Management and customers.

Qualifications

• Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior Project Engineer experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Project Engineer experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Project Engineer experience.

Responsibilities

• Determines approaches to objectives; manages scope of duties for propulsion programs.
• Coordinate engineering work; monitor progress, risk, schedule, and cost.
• Interface with Program Management and customers to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical consultation for proposals, white papers, and briefings.
• Support proposals to government customers or prime contractors for propulsion programs.
• Assist with written/verbal status reports and participate in product team meetings.
