Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 9 years related experience.
• Experience in filament wound composite pressure vessel design and manufacturing methods.
• Proficiency with CAD software CREO and PLM systems Windchill.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for filament-wound composite cases, propulsion systems, and related components.
• Develop design concepts, 3D models, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Perform trade studies and prepare component specifications and procedures.
• Coordinate with analysis, manufacturing, project engineering, quality, and customer support teams.
• Plan and execute design assignments within an Integrated Product Team environment.
• Support production activities on the shop floor and at supplier locations.
• Address nonconforming hardware and ensure design requirements are met through supplier coordination.
• Lead technical reviews, investigations, and risk-reduction efforts.
• Support environmental and qualification testing at various levels.
• Prepare and present technical reports for stakeholders.
