L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Mechanical Engineering in California to drive mechanical design for solid propulsion components and systems. The role involves creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and coordinating with IPTs and suppliers on complex propulsion projects.

The ideal candidate will have 9+ years of experience, a relevant bachelor’s or graduate degree, and familiarity with CREO, Windchill, and ASME Y14.5. A US Secret Clearance is preferred, with travel up to 25%.

Competenze

• Experience with CAD software tools (CREO).
• Familiar with ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with Solid Rocket Motors (SRM) is preferred.
• Knowledge of solid propulsion systems design and manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of strategic booster motors, tactical rocket motors, or controllable solid propulsion systems is preferred.
• Active US Secret Security Clearance is desired.

Mansioni

• Lead mechanical design activities for composite case and solid propulsion systems.
• Develop design concepts, 3D models and detailed drawings for manufacture.
• Conduct trade studies and prepare component specifications and procedures.
• Interact with analysis, manufacturing, project engineering, quality and customer support groups.
• Plan and execute complex design tasks within an IPT environment; review work products.
• Support production and supplier interactions to ensure requirements are met.
