Job summary

Geronimo Power is seeking a Lead Solar Technician to provide on-site leadership at the Grant Solar facility near Canistota, SD. You will direct daily operations, oversee maintenance, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires a four-year degree or technical training and several years in solar or power generation, with hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical systems. Travel and on-call duties are possible as part of a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or technical certificate in a related field.
• ≥3 years in solar or power generation operations and maintenance.
• Experience providing day-to-day technical leadership and setting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations and guide personnel to maximize plant availability and safety.
• Ensure compliance with EHS programs, including audits, trainings, and incident assessments.
• Coordinate with Area Manager, EHS, Engineering, Asset Management, and others to meet requirements.
• Lead preventive/corrective maintenance, outages, troubleshooting, and warranty activities.
• Plan daily work and manage the site maintenance schedule.
