Job summary

Deriva Energy is seeking a Solar Technician to support our Little Trout Solar project in Rogers City, Michigan. This role requires hands-on operations, maintenance, and startup activities for photovoltaic systems, with a focus on LOTO, safety, and reliability across multiple sites.

Level I–III technicians will perform calibration, troubleshooting, and commissioning tasks, including inverter controls, PMs, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required with completion of Level I–III training within 1 year.
• Strong electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read electrical, civil, and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites for maintenance and start-up.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational rounds and maintenance tasks including LOTO procedures.
• Carry out inverter/array maintenance and preventative tasks.
• Coordinate with Operations Center on plant status and maintenance activities.
• Travel to multiple sites for site visits and startup/commissioning.
• Prepare service reports and maintain EH&S records.
