Deriva Energy is seeking a Solar Technician to support the Little Trout Solar project in Rogers City, MI. You will join a team responsible for ongoing operations and maintenance, performing rounds, equipment checks, and startup tasks to commission new sites.

The role requires reading OEM manuals, troubleshooting PV systems, and coordinating with site teams. On-call, travel to multiple sites, and strict safety adherence are expected.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; Level I/II/III training within 1 year.
• Strong background in electrical and electronic equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with reading schematics and performing electrical test measurements.
• Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized.
• Experience with Maximo CMMS preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC controls and inverter systems.
• Willingness to travel to multiple site locations.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily operational rounds and LOTOs; train to become LOTO desk qualified.
• Perform inverter/array maintenance and routine preventive tasks.
• Handle Lock-Out-Tag-Out tasks and contractor oversight duties.
• Communicate plant/equipment status to Operations Center; site visits.
• Read OEM manuals, warranty agreements; assist commissioning activities.
