Deriva Energy is seeking a Solar Technician to support the Little Trout Solar project. The role emphasizes operating and maintaining PV systems, performing LOTO tasks, and coordinating across multiple sites from Rogers City, MI.

Responsibilities include startup duties for new sites, equipment troubleshooting, and generating service reports. Strong reading of OEM manuals and collaboration with the Operations Center are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; willingness to pursue further certifications as needed.
• Associates/Technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and electronic equipment for PV systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, civil, and mechanical drawings.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily operations rounds and maintenance tasks including complex LOTOs and training to become LOTO desk qualified.
• Carry out inverter/array maintenance and routine preventative maintenance.
• Manage high voltage equipment knowledge and perform high voltage switching as required.
• Prepare service reports for site visits and recordkeeping; ensure safe work environment following protocols.
• Travel to multiple sites as part of regular duties and coordinate with Operations Center.
