Job summary

Deriva Energy is seeking a Lead Solar Technician based at Little Trout Solar in Rogers City, MI. The role leads a technician crew, mentors staff, and coordinates maintenance on solar facility equipment, including sub-station and pad-mounted transformers. A strong background in electrical/mechanical systems is essential.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years in the field, and may offer relocation. Experience with HV switching and testing tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and 6+ years of related work experience.
• Relocation may be provided for non-local candidates.
• Associate degree in electrical construction and maintenance is preferred.
• Qualified to perform medium/high voltage switching and operate testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews of technicians to complete duties.
• Interact with customers as directed by the manager.
• Train and mentor employees as directed by the manager.
• Oversee maintenance on sub-station equipment and perform transformer switching as needed.
• Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on solar facilities.
• Complete required paperwork (work orders, timesheets, inventory).
