Job summary

Deriva Energy, a Brookfield Renewable U.S. portfolio company, seeks a Solar Technician for the Little Trout Solar project in Rogers City, MI. The role supports multiple projects and establishes O&M for new site startups and long-term operation.

On-site responsibilities include handling LOTO, inverter maintenance, and PMs, with occasional travel to multiple sites. Qualified candidates will have high school diploma, training options via Deriva Academy, and strong electrical/electronic

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Ability to complete Level I-III performance measures and training within 1 year.
• Associates degree/Technical degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong background in Electrical and Electronic Equipment troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operations rounds and maintenance tasks, including LOTO procedures and training.
• Perform inverter/array maintenance and routine preventative maintenance.
• Handle LOTO tasks, research, isolation, verification, and supervise contractors as needed.
• Communicate site status to Operations Center and coordinate multiple site visits.
• Maintain environmental, health, and safety records and documentation.
• Read technical manuals and warranty guides; assist with commissioning new sites and system walkdowns.
