Job summary

AES Clean Energy is seeking a Solar Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on utility-scale PV sites in Virginia. You will work under Field Service leads, commuting daily to the Charles City County site, ensuring equipment operates to industry-best standards while upholding safety and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or solar certification preferred.
• Experience with electrical systems and basic safety principles (LOTO, electrical safety).
• Experience in solar system installation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on PV sites and substations in Virginia.
• Operate and troubleshoot inverters, trackers, combiner boxes, and DC/AC collection equipment.
• Prepare switching and clearance orders; maintain power plant systems; assist with plant documents and procedures.
