Job summary

BayWa r.e. Operation Services Limited is seeking a Site Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility-scale solar plants. The role is home-based with regional travel and occasional visits to other UK sites.

You will handle site obligations, report on compliance, and ensure high standards of safety, quality, and operation. HV work, on-call duties, and training are part of the role. Driving license is required.

Qualifications

• C&G 2330 level 2/3 or equivalent.
• C&G BS7671 17th/18th edition.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• HV qualifications AP15 or OP40 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain preventive and corrective maintenance across solar assets.
• Understand site obligations and report compliance.
• On-site responsibility for plant performance and work quality.
• Coordinate with Regional Manager and O&M coordinator for site works.
• Resolve work tickets with LV/HV teams and contractors.
• Attend on-call rota outside working hours.
• Train and develop professionally.

C&G BS7671 17th/18th edition

Full UK Driving License

HV qualifications AP15 or OP40

PV inverter technologies knowledge

IOSH or NEBOSH training

Ground-mounted solar experience
