Job summary

RES is seeking a Field-based Technician (Solar) to perform operations and maintenance on utility-scale solar PV plants and battery storage systems. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and performance within budget, requiring an electrician with MW-scale plant experience.

You will travel between sites, be on-call on weekends, and work with a team to resolve faults, conduct inspections, and implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in MW-scale solar PV O&M.
• Ability to travel between sites and work across multiple locations.
• On-call weekend availability and willingness to participate in rosters.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to health and safety requirements at all times and maintaining safety standards.
• Achieve Authorised Person status as training and experience allow.
• Plan inspections and maintenance according to technical and contractual requirements.
• Inspect, test and maintain plant and equipment including AC/DC systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults with sensors, networks and communications equipment.
• Induct and manage sub-contractors and perform quality checks on their work.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and compile progress reports.
