Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Solar Safety Specialist to provide field safety support across Ohio and Michigan. You will help implement safety policies, perform audits, and drive regulatory compliance on utility-scale solar projects.

Responsibilities include safety training, incident investigations, and pre-job planning in a fast-paced, field-based environment with an annual vehicle allowance and travel to site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Health or equivalent.
• 3–6+ years of construction safety experience.
• Solar/renewable energy experience preferred.
• Willing to travel Ohio and Michigan.
• OSHA 30/10 or Trainer certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership and ensure regulatory compliance on projects.
• Perform safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Develop and deliver safety training to crews and subcontractors.
• Support pre-job safety planning and emergency response planning.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to meet company safety standards.
