Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Solar Safety Specialist to provide field safety support across general construction and utility-scale solar projects, ensuring OSHA compliance and effective safety programs.

This role involves safety audits, trainings, and incident investigations to protect workers and improve performance. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Safety & Health and 3–6+ years of construction safety experience, with a preference for solar or renewable energy exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety & Health or equivalent experience.
• 3–6+ years of construction safety experience, solar/renewable energy preferred.
• All experience levels will be considered with adjustments to title and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, evaluations, and trainings.
• Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, NFPA 70E compliance and safety program effectiveness.
• Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks for project teams.
• Coordinate safety programs with subcontractors and vendors.
