Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Solar Quality Specialist to oversee quality control for solar installations across multiple sites in Ohio and Michigan. The role requires traveling between project sites and coordinating with project teams to ensure adherence to plans and safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management and have 3+ years in solar-related quality control, with strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent.
• 3+ years in a quality control role, electrical, solar installation, or solar/electrical commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Control the quality specified in the project plans and specifications.
• Maintain an effective project quality control system.
• Prepare and submit accurate documentation of all quality control activities.
• Write and submit quality inspection and testing plans.
• Assist with maintaining procedures and protocol that meet industry standards.
• Assist the project team with preparation and submittal of work plans.
• Communicate with the Project Manager and other team members regarding execution of the work.
• Ensure subcontractors and vendors provide the required quality of work and documentation.
• Perform onsite and offsite quality inspections of self-perform and subcontracted work.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications.
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and conformance to design specifications and safety.
• Provide periodic quality reports to management with detail on quality health.
• Recommend opportunities for improvement on a project and company-wide basis.
