Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Solar Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PV solar systems at our California facilities. The role reports to the Site Manager and emphasizes safe, reliable operation.

The position offers a pay range across levels from $54,000 to $107,000 USD, with growth opportunities to Level II and III as responsibilities increase, plus travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; GED within 6 months is acceptable.
• Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude are expected.
• Ability to drive company vehicle with valid license and clean record.
• Safety standards must be followed; willingness to learn and train.
• Travel approximately 5% of the time; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist higher level technicians with maintenance and repairs.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on PV solar equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems
• Follow environmental and safety requirements and training.
• Complete work orders and documentation as assigned.
• Operate PV solar plant systems and support switching/clearance orders.
• Participate in training programs and certifications as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team and supervisor.
