Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc. (OCI) is seeking a Shadow Solar Technician to assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic systems on various terrains in compliance with site plans and schematics. The role includes measuring, cutting, and bolting structural framing and PV modules to support systems for future projects in 2027.

Training and safety are emphasized. Qualified candidates will work with skilled professionals on critical infrastructure projects, following codes and industry standards

Qualifications

• Experience with solar PV systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of NCCER training programs mentioned above.
• Must have all necessary tools as listed in the Solar Tool List.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to install PV systems per codes and drawings.
• Lay-out, assemble and install PV modules and support structures.
• Lift and position materials, maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards promptly.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications; assist in layout and procurement.
