Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and municipal solar projects from contract through completion in Connecticut. The role covers scheduling, procurement, utility coordination, and client communication in a fast-paced construction environment with multiple stakeholders.

Requirements include 4+ years in related PM roles, NEC knowledge, budgeting skills, and proficiency with PM software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, electrical construction, or utility-scale solar.
• Strong budgeting and cost control experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial and municipal solar projects across Connecticut.
• Lead kickoff meetings and establish execution plans.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and track critical-path items.
• Coordinate procurement of major equipment (modules, inverters, switchgear, transformers).
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection, witness testing, and approvals.
• Monitor budgets and ensure margin targets are met.
• Review subcontracts and vendor agreements.
• Submit RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract docs.
• Coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure design intent.
• Oversee permitting and inspection processes.
• Manage project billing milestones and support O&M transition.
• Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the lifecycle.
