Job summary

Hire Consulting Services seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead large commercial and municipal solar projects in Milford, CT. The role secures schedules, budgets, and coordination with utilities, engineers, and subcontractors across CT.

The PM will oversee kickoff meetings, procurement, approvals, and documentation while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in PM for commercial construction, electrical, or utility-scale solar.
• Strong NEC and electrical construction knowledge.
• Experience with projects over 500 kW preferred.
• Experience with municipal contracts and public bid work preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Strong budgeting and cost control experience.
• Proficiency with PM software and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple commercial and municipal solar projects across CT.
• Lead kickoff meetings and execution plans.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Manage procurement of major equipment.
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection and approvals.
• Track budgets and maintain margins.
• Review subcontracts and vendor agreements.
• Submit RFIs, submittals, and contract docs.
• Coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure design intent.
• Oversee permitting and inspections.
• Manage project billing milestones and O&M transition.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks early.
