Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician I to safely operate specific equipment in the middle submodule toward finishing the manufacturing process.

You will manage materials and processes to produce high-quality photovoltaic modules at the required rate, and perform basic quality checks and preventive maintenance. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, with preference for technical training and 1+ year of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree/technical certificate preferred.
• 1+ year manufacturing experience; other relevant experience acceptable (warehousing, textiles, agriculture, material inspection).
• Internal candidates: 60 credits of internal manufacturing training and supervisor endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment safely to achieve quality and productivity targets.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to basic alarms.
• Monitor process data and alarms and escalate as needed.
• Assist with equipment tests and cross‑functional collaboration.
