Job summary

Knobelsdorff Enterprises is hiring an O&M Technician to support the Power Services division, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning across solar plants. The role emphasizes electrical, mechanical, and communication systems, with safety and reliability as top priorities.

Candidates should have 5+ years in the electrical industry, MN Licensed Electrician, and strong knowledge of LOTO, schematics, and DAS/SCADA systems. Travel locally and regionally is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical industry.
• Minnesota Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master required).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of electrical hazards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with fiber optics, networking, and communication systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred experience with DAS, SCADA, thermal imaging, solar commissioning, IV curve tracing, and heavy equipment operation.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history and ability to travel locally, regionally, and overnight as needed.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service electrical, mechanical, and communication systems across solar plants.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure solar facilities operate safely and with minimal downtime.
• Adhere to KE safety values and work independently in field environments.
