Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a PV O&M technician for the Kuna, ID solar plant. You will perform maintenance on PV inverters, trackers, transformers, and associated equipment, ensuring reliable operation.

The role requires safety-first discipline, ability to read electrical diagrams, and collaboration with a cross-functional team. On-site work with potential travel for training or site support will be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year PV O&M experience or 3+ years in a power plant environment preferred.
• Familiarity with SCADA and CMMS software is highly recommended.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on utility-scale PV solar sites and substations.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting, instrumentation calibration, and inverter troubleshooting.
• Operate and monitor PV Solar and BESS facilities in compliance with standards.
• Prepare plant orders, procedures, and operating instructions as assigned.
• Coordinate materials and services for repair and maintenance activities.
