Job summary

Onward Energy is hiring a Solar Site O&M Tech I in Utah to supervise PV plant operations and maintenance under the Site Manager, Renewable Operations - Solar. The role focuses on SCADA monitoring, testing, and repairing AC/DC PV systems, inverters, transformers, and metering, while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college/technical degree preferred.
• Electrical certifications (state or journeyman) are a plus.
• One year of operations/maintenance experience in power generation preferred.
• Strong safety background with Lockout/Tagout experience and EH&S awareness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety practices at the solar plant.
• Follow electrical safety and arc flash standards during operations.
• Operate, test, troubleshoot, and repair PV systems and components.
• Maintain CMMS work orders and related documentation.
• Coordinate with site and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Adapt to schedule changes, including night shifts and overtime.
• Travel up to 10% as required.
