Job summary

Energix Renewables is seeking a Vice President of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for utility-scale solar projects. You will lead a cross-functional team to optimize asset performance, improve reliability, and reduce downtime across sites.

The role requires deep O&M expertise, strategic leadership, and strong vendor management. You will implement best-in-class maintenance programs, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of O&M experience for utility-scale solar projects or related energy sectors.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams and multi-site operations.
• Strong knowledge of solar technology, SCADA systems, and performance monitoring tools.
• Expertise in contract management, financial planning, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the O&M strategy to optimize asset performance and lifecycle management.
• Lead and manage the O&M team, including field technicians, engineers, and support staff.
• Establish KPIs and ensure continuous improvement in operations.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Ensure compliance with standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Implement monitoring systems and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Develop maintenance schedules and protocols for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage O&M budgets and financial reporting.
• Oversee vendor and subcontractor relationships and contracts.
• Ensure SLAs are met and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze performance data and identify trends and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with asset management and engineering teams to optimize processes.
• Lead risk management and root-cause analysis for failures.
