Job summary

Energix Renewables is seeking a Vice President of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for utility-scale solar projects. You will lead a cross-functional team to optimize asset performance, improve reliability, and reduce downtime across sites.

The role requires deep O&M expertise, strategic leadership, and strong vendor management. You will implement best-in-class maintenance programs, oversee budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of O&M experience for utility-scale solar projects or related energy sectors.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams and multi-site operations.
• Strong knowledge of solar technology, SCADA systems, and performance monitoring tools.
• Expertise in contract management, financial planning, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

The Vice President of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) at Energix Renewables is responsible for overseeing all aspects of service and maintenance for utility-scale solar projects. This role ensures the efficient and reliable operation of solar assets by implementing best-in-class O&M strategies, maximizing energy production, and minimizing downtime. The VP of O&M will lead a team of professionals to optimize asset performance, manage risk, and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Management

• Develop and execute the O&M strategy to optimize asset performance and lifecycle management.
• Lead and manage the O&M team, including field technicians, engineers, and support staff.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure continuous improvement in operations.

Operations & Maintenance Oversight

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure maximum system uptime.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Implement advanced monitoring systems and predictive maintenance techniques to improve asset reliability.
• Develop maintenance schedules and protocols for optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage O&M budgets, including cost forecasting, expenditure control, and financial reporting.
• Oversee vendor and subcontractor relationships, negotiating contracts to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
